Cowper & Newton Museum

The Georgian home of the 18th-century poet  and hymn writer, William Cowper. It now contains an extensive collection of  furniture, personal possessions and manuscripts of William Cowper and his friend  the Rev John Newton, including the first edition of the Olney Hymns. The most  famous hymn they wrote was Amazing Grace.
The exhibition of lace includes Buckingham Lace and some  from Bruges.

Discover many items from Olney past including dinosaur  bones, Roman coins and Civil War Relics from the Battle of Olney  Bridge.

There are also two walled gardens and Cowpers summer  house.
